Using your Silhouette Machine

If you’ve been reading through all the decorating options, you’ve probably already got a bunch of ideas on how to use your silhouette!

You could use it to cut out shapes for layering.

Or to create cut outs in your card base.  Or what about using it to cut and score your own cards to begin with?

Use the stamp material to make some basic stamps and create a stamped pattern as the background.  (Psst – silhouette stamps are basically the same as cling stamps.)

Find some simple sketches and make a sketch pen card!

Or how about using a stamp to create a large heat embossed area?

And don’t forget that you can ink and stain any of the papers you use before or after you cut them on the silhouette!

Still stumped?  Head over to the online store and search card, there are a ton of ideas already there for you!

Your imagination is really the only limit you have.  And now that you have all these techniques in your toolbox of things to try, start playing!  It’s your sandbox after all, make your own rules.  :)

One of the cards that was shared with me is the absolutely stunning glitter card by Lynne from Creative Turn.  Check out her post on how to make it here!
